Cultex Laboratories sets standards for alternatives to animal testing
With the Cultex RFS Cultex Laboratories has created an alternative testing method, which replaces or at the very least reduces animal testing.
Especially against the background of the new REACH regulations, a recognised adequate alternative to animal testing is becoming increasingly important.
But, official recognition and test procedures are long-winded and bureaucratic hurdles are high.
In an interview with the German online magazine Spiegel, Prof. Michaela Aufderheide told of the problems in establishing their new test method on an international basis.
Years of approval and proof procedures hinder the rapid introduction of alternative methods and so also a timely availability. For example for compliance with the REACH requirements.
