CULTEX® Impresses With New In-Vitro Testing Modules
Germany’s CULTEX is a technological leader in the scientific analysis of the effects of toxic chemical substances on cultured bacteria or mammalian cells. Called in-vitro testing (from ‘in vitro’, or literally ‘in glass’), these test methods are used primarily to identify potentially hazardous chemicals or to confirm a lack of toxicity during the early development of new drugs, agricultural chemicals or food additives. At CULTEX, the exposure strategy is a three-step process involving the generation of aerosols, exposure of cells and bacteria to those aerosols, and a subsequent analysis for toxicity, genotoxicity and other effects.
