Michaela Aufderheide
Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Michaela Aufderheide was born on 1 March, 1954 in Berlin/Spandau. After graduating from St. Ursula Gymnasium, Hannover in 1972, she studied at Hannover University and was awarded the degree of Dipl. Biol. in 1978. With the preparation of her doctoral thesis entitled: Isolation of filamentous microorganisms from sewer mud and their behaviour in continuous culture from 1978 - 1981 she was awarded the degree of Dr. rer. nat in May 1982.
In 1994 she was appointed university lecturer in Experimental Oncology (Privat-Dozentin) and Associate Professor in 1999.
